Start with the room, then the stone
Bring a cabinet finish, flooring sample and a photograph in the room’s usual light. Compare the background tone as well as the veining. A small sample is useful for color; viewing the slab helps you understand the pattern across an island or a full-height backsplash.
Draw the transitions
A waterfall end, sink opening and backsplash meet other materials. Share appliance and sink specifications along with the layout so the team can work through cutouts, edge profiles and seam placement. The final fabrication dimensions come from field measurement, not an inspiration photo.
